to allow you an easy and pleasant discovery, we designed this interactive card of the area where you will be able to locate the "Great Vintages" and to traverse a selection of the richest cultural and tourist sites of the Marne (while cliquant on small stars).





It should be announced that micro climates which are extremely significant on the soils of Champagne will bring very local situations playing a great role in classification of the vintages and thus on the quality of the wines. Approximately 300 villages currently have the AOC "Champagne" and all are classified in % depanding their quality, but only 17 called "Great Vintages" are classified 100%, it acts of :

43 are classified into 90% and 99% they are the First Vintages. The surface of name Champagne, determined by the nature of the ground and the basement has limits fixed by the law, limit outwards which one cannot work out Champagne. It covers a surface of 30655 ha approximately, which is currently planted in vines and which are cultivated by approximately 18000 vine growers.
